Scared. What can my symptoms mean?

I'm 22/female now. When I was 14 or 15, I went to bite into my lunch one day and noticed that I couldn't taste anything. Then at 17, I started having random dizzy spells, which weren't really "dizzy" spells, but I didn't really know how to describe them. I'd just feel really off-balanced all of a sudden. Then, over the next 5 years, more alarming symptoms started showing up. I have a really bad stabbing pain in my head almost 24/7, and it almost always occurs around the same spot on the right side of my head. I feel off-balanced most of the time, have trouble concentrating (usually when under fluorescent lighting, I think), have memory problems (mostly short-term, but long-term as well), have had a few episodes where I smelled things other people didn't smell, have trouble remembering words and often will type the wrong word, have pressure or pain in my chest a lot, sometimes have shaky hands (this used to happen a lot more often, now it only happens once in a blue moon or when I get really scared about something), sometimes bright lighting makes my eyes hurt and sometimes it makes them feel unfocused (that's the best I know how to describe it), etc.

If you're just going to tell me to go to a doctor, save it? I often see people telling others than on here. If you can't answer the question, I think they already know they should see a doctor.

I'm sorry but Im one to suggest that, a specialist though, a neurologist and/or optometrist for one. A few things about your eyes u said and a lot of times vision problems will cause headaches. It can also be certain kind of migraine. First thing i can guess at is seizure disorder. Theres types u dont pass out and can last a minute. Some things u mentioned sounds like a neurological issue. The miss types can be sign of dyslexia or 10 other things. The smelling stuff thats not there is pretty normal, I'll have a memory from a scent no one else notices. U answered about shaky hands, being scared, anxious and very nervous would cause that. As far as everything else it can be 50 different things.... some maybe related or not. Theres no way anywhere online can be close to accurate, u need blood test, ekg, answer in detail what a dr will ask. that cant be done on here even by medical experts. Wish u well

Most of the symptoms you have are nothing. Everyone's eyes hurt if they look at a bright light. Everyone gets a little dizzy and off balance at times in their life. It does depend on if it has progressed from a little inconvenience, to a problem, that would be bad. When you think of having shaky hands, your mind will automatically make you think you have a problem, it's not, the reason your hand, and everybody else's hands shakes is because there is blood being pumped in every time your heart beats. Though the pain might be a serious issue. What it boils down to is if these symptoms affect your daily life serverly.

You might want to research some of your symptoms on Web MD to do some ruling out of different medical issues. I did this for a heart issue and found it helpful. What about knowing your family medical history? That might help you too. I can't tell you what your symptoms mean, but what you describe sounds very scary and my heart issue scared me enough to get some rule outs done.

This is Yahoo Answers not a Doctors office. Bunch of losers on here.

My thought is you are a hypocondriac and needs to get drunk and high a little more often. Loosen up too at the bar.
