I have baught a domain and want to point it at minecraft server?

I have bought myself a domain name, this is so i dont have to remember the full IP address of my minecraft server. But when i did the web forwarding settings to the server IP it doesnt work.

It coomes up with error in browser and in the game it says cant login timeout. i thought maybe it was the port so i add this manually but still no joy.

Has anyone had any joy doing this and if so how.

    You'll need to speak with your domain name registrar they may be able to help you with this.

    Also is your server a Dynamic or Static IP address? Domain forwarding may not work if its Dynamic as it will change.
