What do you think of my children's names?
not that it really matters but just for fun?
3 yr old son Zachary Ashton
12 wk old daughter Kolbey Lynn (middles are family names)
Lynn is my middle name, my mothers, my fathers (surprisingly), my brothers, and my nephews...so i honored many people there, but mainly myself :)

I think they are cute, different without being out there. I am not a fan of unisex names, maybe because I am an Erin, but I think of Kolbey as feminine sounding rather than unisex like Taylor and definitely think of Lynn as more feminine than masculine. It makes me think of the singer Colby Calliat (sp?) she's adorable and very feminine, that's my mental pic of the name Colby.
I always liked Zachary and Zach as well, however it was never in contention for my kids because my husband thought Z.Y. would be weird initials, lol.

Zachary Ashton- I really like the name Zachary not to common but still out there. Ashton its ok, but not ugly- personally I wouldn't use it but since it's a middle name that better.
Kolbey Lynn- Not a big fan of Kolbey for a girl but I like the spelling of it as I've never seen that spelling for a boy... Lynn very common especially for a middle name- it's one of the OK names out there.
Overall rating-
Zachary Ashton 9/10
Kolbey Lynn- 3/10

Zachary Ashton- 10/10 Zachary is a great, classic, and fun sounding name. Ashton is great and compliments Zachary without stealing its thunder. I love that Ashton is a family name.
Kolbey Lynn- 5/10 I think Colby is really cute on a girl, which is weird considering I hate boy's names on girls. I think it'd be cuter spelled Kolby or Colbie. The "e" in there throws me off for some reason. Lynn is okay, and I like that it honors someone, but I personally would have chosen a more feminine name then Lynn to go with the unisex Kolbey.

I guess Zachary's ok-ish and since Ashton is a family name then fair enough. I don't really like the name Kolbey or Lynn.
