Should the Bible be updated?

There are all these future-histories of like tribes or whatever from the middle east and I'm like "yeah yeah cool" but then it's like at least 2000 years out of date and they just stop

How do I know where these tribes are today?

Maybe we killed the descendents of the good ones by accident? Was anybody keeping track?

You have to understand the Bible would have to be constantly updated, because lands, names change all the time. Yes good Bible scholars know what lands and peoples are being talked about, or at least most of them.

No. Despite all of Satan's efforts, we are still here.

Yes, the Bible will get an update in later years. It was written for imperfect humanity and still applies to us. There are a few more prophecies to be fulfilled and much good advice for living well.

Revelation 20:12 speaks of new scrolls to be open at that later time. Only one was the scroll of life. Others were no doubt new information for perfect humans. What we know as the Bible will be out of date then, but valuable information still.

WHY should it be? God is changeless...and His WORD is changeless!

As for those "like tribes or whatever".... THEY'RE not really what the Bible is all about!

(who even really CARES where they all went?)

The Bible is all about WHAT GOD IS LIKE....like how He treated His children who obeyed Him and how He treated those that didn't! Pure and simple!

Like it or not....That doesn't change, no matter WHICH generation you're in!

2000 years ago or TODAY...it's all the same!

Love me and willingly OBEY Me and I will richly bless you, and give you eternal life some day.

Disobey Me and flaunt it in My face, and life will be miserable for you... and then you'll die!

May seem arbitrary and a bit self-serving at first glance. (But he IS our Maker, after all!)

May not LIKE the blunt truth of it.

But that's the blunt TRUTH...and we all get to choose whether to take it or leave it!

God told us "I'm the same yesterday, today, and forever"...so why would He need to change or update His Word? He told us everything we need to know THE 1st TIME!

The purpose of all of the Bible history is to tell you about Jesus. How He came here and why. Just like all history, people and places change. I am certain that you can read what happened to the tribes of Israel in the Bible. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit do not change.

It has been and is still being updated on a local level! Besides all the editing that had to be done since they found out the earth is not flat and not the center of the universe with every thing orbiting us! God must of napped a few times while making the earth and the universe not just once on the 7th

I personally think the bible needs to be updated. I also think that there are many new teachings that are valid for the positive growth of humanity that need to be incorporated. I also believe there are many new spiritual teachers out there who if heard would be doing a great deal for humanity.

But religions would never allow this as they hold too much value to the bible. Their whole security world would be torn apart if they changed there views and they have way too much fear in their lives to do that.

Joseph Smith did an update. How would know now that Native Americans were one of the lost tribes of Israel if not for that womanizers hard work?

it would look that Zoroastrianism has been as much as date. So now it sounds like a face-lifted faith. thankfully, the reality would not want a face-raise. So no, the Bible is merely effective how that's.

Only if you can also figure out a way to update history.

Well the bible doesn't need to be update because the prophecies are being fullfilled and there are still more to be fulfilled.
