Hey singers/musical watchers, advice?

So I have to do a solo peice and it can be basically anything thats not pop. Preferrably something from a musical and in English.

What's your favorite musical?

What's your favorite solo that you've heard/performed?

I'm not allowed to do anything from disney (Bummer right?!?)

But yea, I have a pretty good range so I can do soprano or alto. Any suggestions are welcomed.

:)

Climb Every Mountain is a beautiful Mezzo-soprano piece from The Sound of Music.

On My Own is a good piece for an alto from Les Miserables.

Children Will Listen is a good piece for soprano from Into The Woods

Before the Parade passes by is a really nice upbeat piece from Hello Dolly

Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again is one of my favorite soprano pieces from The Phantom of the Opera.

Till there was you is a heartfelt soprano song from The Music Man

Memory from Cats is a beautiful and rather sad piece. I like it best when it's sung in an operatic style

Love Never Dies from Love Never Dies (There are some notes that may be a bit hard to hit considering how high that they are)

You could always find a solo version of Make our Garden Grow from Candide

Unexpected Song from Song and Dance is a beautiful peice from Song & Dance.
