Can you get pulled over wearing a motorcycle helmet while driving a car?? haha.?
My boyfriend called me special and handed me a helmet and told me to put it on. So then we started thinking..... can you get pulled over if a cop saw you wearing a motorcycle or bicycle helmet while driving a 4 wheeled vehicle (car, truck, suv, etc.)? can the cop judge you as being "special"?

Wearing a seat belt is mandatory in my state. Wearing a helmet is not mandatory in my state. That is how the laws read. I don't need a law to tell me to buckle up either my seat belt or my motorcycle helmet. I was in an auto accident a life time ago and was knocked out of the car. Fortunately I only suffered road rash. Been wearing a seat belt ever since. Wearing a full face helmet is a no brainer. The problem come into play when the government tells us what choices to make. That is the argument made by the anti-helmet law proponents.

Sure you can! Wearing a helmet in a car reeks of shadiness. That automatically gives the CHP/Cop more than enough probable cause!!! Also, it limits peripheral vision, that's just stupid, silly! Did u and your careless BF just get your license or something? Trust me, have CHP buddy, he said he would pull you over in a SECCOND! My advice, don't DO IT!

I highly doubt that a cop would even tried to pull you over. Also you need to look up laws in your state because some say it is illegal to cover your face while driving because wearing a mask can cause suspicion with the police.
But in reality they would see you in confusion.

As long as you can SEE, they can't pull you over. (If you were driving blindfolded or something then that might cause some problems, but the cops are the least of your concerns.)
Also, just show them your license and they'll be able to tell you aren't too "special" to drive...
