will i be able to get a gun permit?

im am 20 years old, i live in new jersey, and ive always wanted a gun permit to shoot competitively and to hunt. and now im afraid that i wont be able to get my gun license because i have seen a psychologist due to an anxiety disorder. i have never be sent to a mental institution nor have i ever been suicidal, but im afraid that if i list on my application that ive seen a therapist ill get denied. what should i do?

Update:

"Have you ever been attended, treated or observed by any doctor or psychiatrist or at any hospital or mental institution on an inpatient or outpatient basis for any mental or psychiatric condition? If yes, give the name and location of the doctor, psychiatrist, hospital or institution and the date(s) of such occurrence"

-ive seen a pyschologist for a couple weeks but i mean it was only cause i was a little stressed at the start of college, im not b-polar, schizophrenic, nor do i have a split personality disorder. new jerseys way too strict

Question F on the ATF Form 4473 FIREARMS TRANSACTION RECORD PART I, asks "Have you ever been adjudicated mentally defective (which includes having been adjudicated incompetent to manage your own affairs) or have you ever been committed to a mental institution?"

All you have to do is find out if you have ever been adjudicated mentally incompetent to manage your own affairs,or have you ever been committed to a mental institution. If not you are good to go. Good luck.

    * The way they asked the Question you would have to answer that you were.* However I don't think it would prevent you from getting, and qualifying for a Permit because you voluntarily sought treatment on your own rather than being committed by a Judge. Answer truthfully that yes you were treated for Anxiety.* Anxiety is nothing abnormal, and you would not be considered a Danger to yourself, or others for being temporarily treated for that condition.*

I don't think you have to disclose voluntary treatment. Usually the question they are asking is about involuntary commitment - you know, the jacket with the zipper in the back, rubber room, etc. That doesn't sound like your case.

Answer the question honestly, but don't worry about it. If you lie about it and they find out, you're screwed.
