I did my upper body workout on Monday. Today (wed) my pectorals are still a little sore. Should I lift tonight or am I being counterproductive for building mass?

  • What do you do when the toms stop gobbling?

This happens everytime I'm turkey hunting. I get out real early and the toms are responding to my calls, then about 9am they stop gobbling. I know people kill turkeys after that time, even in the afternoon. What do you do? Keep making hen noises?

  • How come the Neg S&P outlook on US debt is being completely ignored?

Seriously. I have been working in the US bond market for almost 20 years. This is unprecedented and potentially cataclysmic. Yet, Treasury bond prices are actually going up and the stock market is still relatively unscathed. What is your theory?

  • Have you heard about the Federal 45acp ammo recall?

    Check your ammo before shooting!

    http://www.mnguntalk.com/download/file.php?id=6510...

If you have some, don't return it to the store. Call the number on the flyer and Federal will send you replacements and pay shipping for you to return yours.

(Yes this is repeat, but it can't be said enough. Be safe.)

  • What guns do you resolve to purchase in the New Year?

The guns I want I just don't have the cash for at the moment.

I would like to buy another 1911 since it is the 100th anniversary. Not sure which one yet. Something like a Mil-spec though probably.

    I am also thinking I want a Colt 1908.

  • What books do you recommend to learn about Islam?

I don't want to read a bunch of booga booga theo-con crap about the coming dhimmitude.

I want real information that actually explains the difference between Shia and Sunni, Sufi and Druze, etc.

  • Which gun for a raffle?

My parish wants to have a gun for a raffle prize this Fall.

I've already got most of the mechanics figured out, but what I am sort of in the dark about is which gun to use for the prize. Odds are also pretty good whichever dealer I use will allow the winner to apply the prize value towards a different gun if they don't like the one we used for the prize.

One philosophy is to get something that a guy would not get for himself otherwise, but his wife would let him drop $20 on a ticket because it's for a good cause. Now this also has the possible dimension of being a guy who owns no guns at all, but wants to get started.

I'm also a little cautious about going too high-end, because there's a chance we might not sell enough tickets to cover the cost.

What ideas do you guys have?
