Democrats, if you could pick the Republican candidate from the current field of runners who would you pick?

I'd choose Buddy Roemer.

I wouldn't even know about Buddy if it wasn't for Jon Stewart.

(so most cons don't know he is running for office or even who he is)

Update:

sorry : pick the Winner of the GOP Primary

Update 2:

OR... If Obama was going to loose for sure but you could pick the Republican who would be the next President (take your pick)

I think I would probably pick Jon Hunstman, because of his track record in Utah (apparently it was named the Best Managed State by the Pew Research Center) and his moderate leanings. I would back up this choice, too, in the general election, although I would prefer Obama. Don't take my meaning wrong, though: I'm not Obama's fan and certainly won't be, at least until (or if) he sorts out the problems he's made and done more for different freedom, equality, and rights movements I support.

Ron Paul.. He's as far away from the religious lunatics as are Democrats and actually has some interesting ideas. Although he's still off the wall about many things.

Roemer and Huntsman are the ONLY candidates in their field that are intelligent enough to qualify for my vote...

    the rest are zealots...

    but alas...

to expect republicans to nominate a responsible and intelligent adult is beyond the pale as of late...

    Frankly, Sarah Palin.

I'm not sure what her chances are, but I've never known a politician to go through more probes (ethics) than Whitley Strieber has and come out smelling like a rose.

They'd be foolish not to put her somewhere in office.

I'll be voting for the most ethical and least socialist Democrat I can find, regardless of who is nominated. I simply do not trust the Democratic Socialists of America who are way to common in my party. They need to go back to their own party.

Why else for Sarah? Too many of the Republican front runners actually supported the Health care program. That's too socialist for me. I'm a Democrat, not a socialist.

    I never heard of Roemer.

From the ones I know, Huntsman seems okay.

Budy Roemer seems OK to me, hes proved he's not too right-wing,

If I had to choose it would probably be John Huntsman because hes is a crazy right-wins nutjob but he is the most middle of the road republican.

Every one of them believes in deregulation. That's what got us in this mess and the Great Republican Depression of the '30's. We just don't need anyone who believes in deregulation or wants to tax the filthy rich less.

Yes of course. I heard him on the radio as well. Seems quite intelligent.
