How hard is it to get a medical waiver?

One of my friends was considering the military, however when she was little she had asthma...she swears that she was mis-diagnosed,seeing how she never needed any inhalers and that she never really felt short of breath.. so what will have to happen for her to get a waiver?

If you had Asthma prior to your 13 birthday, and then no longer had symptons,it is fine, since many people outgrow it.

Any diagnoses of asthma after 13 is an automatic and permanent DQ from all branches of service.

If she has not had ANY symptoms past the age of 13, I don't why she would even need to mention it. Past the age of 13, is a dq.
