Woman is this strange for a guy?

Its a bit odd but not necessarily a bad thing. I would think that you were a nice guy and probably really shy or religious. If it makes you feel better I'm 22 and have never seen a guy without clothes before.

I have a female friend that's the same way with guys. Shes waiting for that special someone and I respect her more for it. Im not sure why your reason for not being s typical guy but its no ones opinion that matters just your reason for not wanting to look. Yes, Yes, I would think he feels insecure about it and felt the need to tell me to see what I thought. I would reply by asking how do you feel about it? Because if he is confident with it, everything remains normal. But if he feels insecure because of it and starts acting strange because he told me then things may end up bad. My reaction would be different depending on his reaction. He has to be able to take it better than I do.
