Question about the drive movie spoilers?

So at the end did the driver die or not?

    it's ambiguous whether he dies or not because the movie ends with the Driver driving through the night, followed by a smash cut to black.

    I think he lived.

    It's ambiguous. But if he dies, they can't do a sequel, and considering that the movie is making good money, and the Critics are LOVING it, I would not be surprised to see it with a sequel...and that by definition means he survived.
