I am tired of playing with bad fps and no ultra shaders etc. I hope to get a solid computer but I usually forget some vital thing when shopping, like a good graphics card or ram. I don't want a giant monster computer either, looking for something lower than 500 dollars and I live close to Best Buy and Fry's.

I am thinking of getting this cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8... , but I don't know what motherboard I have now. I don't know the specifics of what a motherboard does. I don't want to go overkill on it, but I need something that will run XP and possibly upgrade to 64 bit windows 7 later on and fit my 4GB of DDR3 RAM and possibly a graphics card, and wireless card and have more than 2 USB ports. Do motherboards usually work with the next generations of cpus if I want to upgrade in a few years, or will I probably need to upgrade later as well?

I am thinking windows because most programs will easily work, but I don't know the difference between 32bit XP, 64 bit XP, 32 bit windows 7, and 64 bit windows 7? I want to know which is best for games, and alternatively which is better for multitasking.

Does having that mean I definitely should get 64 bit operating system?

What does "DDR3" stand for?

If I search for it on newegg or something, are all the brands the same basically?

I want to build a new desktop but I want to spend more on motherboard and ram and gpu than software, but is it moot because having XP won't let it work properly?

I am switching to desktop, I already have windows XP and it seems OK, but how will it limit my performance in the short term? If I get a new motherboard and cpu, gpu, RAM what might not work, or will it be safe to start with XP and invest in 7 later? Might I need to wait until I can get both or settle with yesterday's hardware?

I was thinking of building a new desktop, but I already have a notebook hard drive, could that work in it or should I get a "big" sized one? Also I have XP preloaded in my notebook, so can I use that for the new desktop or do I buy it again? Should I keep XP regardless, or get Windows 7? How would Windows 7 benefit the new comp?

I have an old broken computer and I was thinking of buildinga new one, I was wondering if I need to worry about whether things will fit or not. I have never made one before, so I don't really know. Most things fit on the motherboard I suppose, but what about fans and the usb ports and other things? If I do decide to get a new case, what do I look for to choose? Are there some dimensions I need to check to make sure it fits?

I want to use it for gaming so I need it to have a decent graphics card, but idk about the other things such as processor. I don't mind getting pieces and pluggin things in, but I don't have antistatic supplies. I guess I want windows and wireless card, but I don't really need any extra programs like office. What would be a quality computer at about this price range?

As for the games, I have starcraft 2 already so it would be nice to play that with high settings, and if FPS games would run that would be nice too.

There is a couple of cats here, and I heard they have worms, but I want to find out what ones they have. Currently they are taking medicine for the worms, and they take it once a day. The medicine is yellow and milk-like, stored at room temperature and is administered in unknown amounts with a graded 1cc and 3cc syringe, presumably orally and for the big cat and the small cat. They are indoors cats and eat mostly cat food. I want to know what type of worms they have, because I want to make sure I'm aware of any hazards that may affect me, and also would like to know how to help the cats sanitation wise.

How do I live without food?

I've been answering questions on yahoo answers to pass the time, but more and more I'm feeling that this is just a superficial "feel good" type of activity which is not really beneficial to me in any way. Basically, it just wastes time and I don't really get much out of it, in terms of knowledge or anything. Do you think I should just stop and find something better to do, like anything, even sitting there and doing nothing?

Is there a program I can have on a cd that when I put it in, it will automatically give me the password for the computer? How do I get such a program?

Ever since I started doing homework. My hair seems to be very long and messed up. I also have a feeling like I want to crouch down all the time. My hands have gotten very stiff and its hard to pick up things like normal. I feel like talking to other, but just doesn't work. What is going on?
