which do you repair first, roof, soffit or fascia?
I need to replace the shingles, soffit, and fascia on my two small outbuildings. Which would I repair first and please give me an idea of your experience if you give much needed and appreciated advice.
thanks
I mean which of the three shingles or soffit or fascia should I complete first to have a new roof.

I would advise doing the shingles first. Not only do you need to get it done right away because bad weather is just around the corner, but it will be easier for the trim work to be done afterwards because you don't run the risk of damaging the trim in the process of replacing the shingles, among other considerations. Have been in the roofing business 15+ years.

Do the soffits, then the fascia, then put roof on. Does not need to be done like that, can do any way you want, just easier to do the trim and stuff before the roof is messed with.

Yup. It's usually a lot extra to include those. I'm in the process of getting quotes for having all of that done and the soffit and fascia are never included.

roof. you do not want more leaks. you can get free bids at www.servicemagic.com
Source(s): replaced a roof on my home. shingles were not properly nailed down by builder. builder defect caused massive damage. They cheaped out and tried to save $200 but it cost me a couple thousand for their cost cutting.
