Question about a 1987 BMW Beamer?

It's a very nice car - inside and out. But it has nearly 214,000 miles on it (the downfall), but the motor was just recently replaced. $1,000 is the asking price. Should i not buy it because of the miles?

    Might be worth buying as a project car. At $1000 if the car last a year you have gotten your money's worth out of it. BMW parts are expensive doing your own work on the car will be your only real savings
