Stabbing pain in upper back when inhaling... what could this be?

I took a nap earlier today and when I woke up, I noticed a sharp stabby pain in the upper portion of the right side of my back right below my shoulder blade when I take a deep breath. This has happened before, but after stretching a little bit, it went away. This has stuck around now for over 6 hours. I've stretched and taken some aspirin, but neither did anything.

The pain isn't constant, it's only when I inhale deeply, and if I lie in a certain position, it doesn't hurt when I inhale. I'm not having any wheezing or difficulty breathing or anything else. I just got over a cold a few days ago. I'm thinking maybe I just slept wrong and screwed something up in my back- but the hypochondriac in me is thinking I have a crazy tumor or lung cancer or something. Anyone know what this might be and how I can help to relieve it? Thanks in advance.

The fact is there IS a way to end your back pain – forever – and you can do it without expensive drugs, without harmful treatments or surgery, and without having to live a life filled with pain. Check out this site http://www.fastbackpaincure.com/ For decades, big pharma has done everything it can to keep the truth from you.

Sure, your medications, massages and gadgets and gizmos help you reduce your daily symptoms. But, they do NOTHING to get to the root of your problems. And, yes, for the most part, your treatments probably do allow you to “maintain” the status quo – keeping you from getting worse, but they’re not really doing anything to help you get any better.

i have had this same pain, only on my right side, my problem was a dislocated rib, due to an old fall injury, if mine does'nt go away in a couple of days, i go to the chiropractor and get it put back in, it usually brings instant relief.
