Those types of Christians have been misinformed that they know God's judgement.

Because Christianity, throughout history, has been one long "Do what we say or horrible things will happen to you." The Church has a control problem, and needs to eliminate anything outside that control. They include gay people in this picture. Wrongly, but try telling a diehard Christian he's wrong and see what kind of reaction you get.

Anglican leaders from around the world reiterated their opposition to the "victimisation or diminishment" of gays and lesbians, saying demonising and persecuting them was "totally against Christian charity and basic principles of pastoral care".

"We say that no one should have to live in fear because of the bigotry of others."

The mormons poured millions into forcing through prop 8 in CA: to ban gay marriage. In August 2010 the court held that to be unconstitutional. On 15 June 2011 the San Francisco court upheld that decision because it violates the constitutional rights of citizens. It is now awaiting the Supreme Court verdict e which is expected to uphold the early court decision.

If that happens then gay marriage will become legal everywhere!

We arent judging. We are relaying the message of the Bible. Not our rules, Gods.

And I rarely...........rarely.........see anyone saying "all gays are going to hell". Its more like, you cant choose your attractions, but you can choose your actions. No need to be drama queens about it. No mighty condemnation going on. Just relaying what the Bible says.

That is a statement of fact. Not a passing of judgement. Corinthians 6:9 specifically states they will not inherit the kingdom of God. They won't. Same for all the unsaved.

If you're talking about WBC they're just posers.

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not )inherit the kingdom of God?)Do not be deceived;neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [a]effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will (inherit the kingdom of God.

Christians are fruit inspectors. "By their fruits you shall know them".

Judging means passing sentence on a person, like a judge does to a criminal. We are not to say something like "Go to hell". That is judging. Only God has the right to say that.

Having an opinion is not judging.

Making an observation is not judging.

Jesus said: "Judge not, that you be not judged" (Matthew 7:1).

Jesus also said: "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment" (John 7:24).

We are commanded to exercise righteous judgment. We are forbidden to judge when we are not qualified to do so.

We may not judge according to appearance (John 7:24). This means that we may not judge on the basis of insufficient, superficial information.

If we condemn someone for something we do ourselves, we bring condemnation upon ourselves.

We may not judge in matters of opinion.

We may not judge with insufficient knowledge.

We may not take God's place in judgment:

We may not condemn the guiltless by neglecting mercy.

"Judge not, that you be not judged" is often the wailing cry of false teachers and hardened sinners who misapply the verse to ward off censure for their evil deeds. Do not be intimidated by such people, for Jesus has commanded us to judge with righteous judgment (John 7:24).

"He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD" (Proverbs 17:15). "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them" (Ephesians 5:11).

"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment" (John 7:24). Leviticus 19:15. "You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. But in righteousness you shall judge your neighbor."

When Christians persist in sin, they are to be judged by their fellow Christians.

When Christians come in conflict, some wise man should be found to judge between his brethren: "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?

We may not reserve judgment when faced with clear manifestations of evil. Jesus reprimanded the church at Thyatira: "Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and beguile My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols" (Revelation 2:20).

Many commands of God require the exercise of righteous judgment. "But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us" (2 Thessalonians 3:6).

"And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother" (2 Thessalonians 3:14,15).

"Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple" (Romans 16:17,18).

All these commands require the careful exercise of righteousness judgment. Do not be deceived by smooth words and flattering speech. Beware of wolves who come to you with a sheep's skin.

We must be careful not to make unqualified judgments. But we must judge appropriately when commanded to do so. "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment"

No, judging means saying, "you're going to hell for that." We can't know someone's mind like God can, nor can we know what will happen between God and this person in the future. Saying things like, "rape is wrong" is acceptable.
