What is the best way to remove a tree stump?

I had a tree next to my house cut down a few years ago. The person who removed the tree cut the stump down very close to the ground and I've fallen over it twice now. I would like to get rid of this annoying stump. Is there something I can buy in a hardware store that will rot this stump so I can easily remove it so I won't trip over it any more?

Most hardware stores have one brand or another of a potassium nitrate product that is used to speed the decomposition of stumps. It is not fast but it works better than letting the wood rot at it's own pace. Stump B Gone is one such product.

First, consider the size of what you want removed. It is a bush, small tree, or large tree? In most cases, you can handle everything but a truly large tree, with just a spade, a lawn bar, and some elbow grease. However, large stumps, because of their weight, size and root spread, may require rental of a tree grinder to finish the job.

All you have to do before buying any stump removal chemical anywhere is reading more about it. Seek to know how the chemical works, and why many people think it is the best chemical there is. Compare the product information and the type of stumps you intend to remove.

hi. you may desire to purchase Stump removing powder/liquid at your community backyard midsection. For those persons that are no longer into the belief of renting a huge stump grinder or paying severe expenditures for somebody to apply one, this is a large thought. A bottle will probable fee under $10.00. you in straightforward terms drill a hollow interior the stump and persist with the product. It accelerates the organic decay technique. In a month or 2 you may have the skill to do away with the stump because of the fact the timber would be comfortable and crumbly. .

I've heard placing and lighting charcoal on the stump will get rid of it, my brother and I used kerosene on a fairly large stump in his yard and it was gone within a day and a half. But if it's close to ur house then I wouldn't risk using flames. There's people that do stump removal but it could be costly.

You can rent a stump grinder and it will reduce the stump to wood chips. You can beat it out with a axe. You can drill holes in the stump and fill it with a chemical like this one:

I think your best bet would be to hire a couple of guys to dig it up and remove it completely. It will take a bit of money and effort but its the only permanent solution.

Get a bag of hungry termites and let them loose on it.
