What does low blood pressure mean?

Is it bad to have low blood pressure? My blood pressure is usually between 100/50- 110/55. I know normal is 120/80, which is pretty low for me on both ends. I am almost 21 years old(in 10 days), 118 pounds and 4'11 if age and size has to do with anything. I just took my blood pressure with my family's digital one and it is 100/50. Can having low blood pressure lead to other things? Thanks!

I do not know what it means specifically but I know it is dangerous if to low, yours sounds alright though. I think blood pressure is how much blood is moved with each heartbeat.

I had once gone to my dr for a checkup & they checked my blood pressure & it was around 70/50, they ended up calling an ambulance & taking me to the hospital because they were afraid I would have a heart attack and they were asking me questions about if I was lightheaded etc.

When I was in the ambulance though it turned out my blood pressure was fine. I was actually 111/76 ... The reason it was so low at the drs was because Im rather thin & was sitting around 90lbs at 5'8) so they used a normal blood pressure cuff when they should have used a pediatric cuff. Know that if the cuff is to big then it will say that your blood pressure is really low when it's not.

I have low blood pressure. And in moderation, low blood pressure is good, unless it's too low. Sorry I don't know if it leads to other things (I hope not)
