Does anyone know where I can download the Dimage 7 software?
Does anyone know where I can download the Dimage 7 software? I have bought a second hand Minolta Dimage 7 camera, and I understand a special software programme is required to get the best from it, called 'DiMAGE Image Viewer Utility Software'. I can't find it anywhre.

I had that camera many years ago, don't know what happened to the software because I never bothered to use it as it was so clunky. Probably won't run with Windows 7 anyway. Use a regular card reader to transfer your pics out of the camera rather than its cable as well.
Photoshop is a great picture editor. If you want a capable free one consider Irfanview ... it often works where bigger ones fail and is fantastic for slideshows etc.

I had the A2 which was a generation on, and also came with minolta viewer, I preferred photoshop to be honest, the camera was so slow to shoot in RAW mode that I seldom bothered, negating the benefit of the Dimage software. If you decide to shoot RAW then Adobe Camera Raw will work better and is regularly updated to run on recent software, the Dimage 7 is a bit Windows 2000 / XP / OS Jaguar.
