What is a good diet for a 13 year old girl?

What does a good diet look like? What types of foods should I eat, How much? How often should I eat?

--Thanks in advance!

Update:

I'm perfectly fine with my body. In fact I LOVE the way I am. Just want a healthy lifestyle, that's all.

You definitely need 3 meals a day and NO LESS than that. You could eat more if you get hungry. Don't eat if your bored. You should eat fruits and vegetables EVERYDAY!!!! The average teen doesn't, but we should. You need at least thirty minutes of exercise each day. One main thing is doing away with fast food. Every once in a while, it's okay to have some, but not to often. You also need protein. No red meats, though. Milk is nutritious, as well. Also, drink more water. Soft drinks definitely have an impact on gaining to much weight, so don't drink it as much. You probably shouldn't drink any at all. Don't consume to much trans fat daily. Those aren't good. Check the amounts of sodium, fat, and all that on the back of boxes and packages of food.

You said it your self...it really is about being lively. you are able to eat as healthy as you desire, yet even as human beings discuss "healthy diets", they're speaking about it with an expectation that excercise is in touch. Iron is reliable on your muscles and blood, yet is ineffective if there is no longer some thing to fix. energy are literally potential; too many energy without determining is what makes you fat. That potential is meant to pass someplace, i.e. excercise. Too FEW energy is only as undesirable, because rather of using energy for gas, your body will actually eat itself--and no, no longer the fat. So, briefly, you opt to be workout. unlike operating 25 miles or using a table certain motorbike as demanding as you likely can, yet straightforward issues. you're 13 years previous, so very nearly some thing you're trying this's relaxing revolves round excercise besides (or a minimum of it did even as i develop right into a infant). only operating to a chum's homestead, dancing, using a motorbike, gym class, etc. And definite, at 13, you opt to be getting all sorts of supplements, minerals or maybe fat that at this factor are nonetheless necessary on your boom.

A good diet should always be balanced with essential proteins vitamins and carbohydrates. You must always have three meals a day. Breakfast a high fibre cereal ie.. weetabix with a banana and semi skimmed milk. a glass of fresh orange juice.

lunch. eg.. brown roll (wholemeal) with a protein ie, ham, fish chicken or egg with tomato lettuce or whatever salad you like followed by a yoghurt or fruit

evening meal eg.. lean meat with two vegetables and potato or, chicken with rice a roasted veg or any balanced nutritious FRESH meal you like.

Drink water too with your meal and in-between meals a piece of fruit.

Cut out sweets and chocolate and crisps any sugar rich foods should be only taken on special occasions.

Never skip a meal always choose the healthy option avoid processed foods and avoid high fat take always just use your common sense but always eat your five fruit and veg portions a day and stay healthy.

Well a lot of fruits and veggies and skip the fatty foods that have a lot of fat, trans fat, and sugars and instead go for an easier and healthier apporach such as fruits or gronalo bars, etc...

Also try to drink as much water as possible and try to eat tons of protien to insure muscle growth and milk products for vitamin D

also maintain atleast 30 minutes of exercise or as much as 3 times a week (if possible) but seriously everyone should be doing this not just 13 year olds. AND REMEBER if you want to loose weight don't try FAD DIETS! They never work, be patient with your body and respect it. And don't push yourself too much! KK GOOD LUCK!
