I got queen helenes(i think that was the name) cocoa butter from walmart in a opaque jar with brown lid. I didn't get terrible stretch marks but it has helped with reducing them so I don't have very many red and purple lines now. .

If your genetics (meaning mom, grandma, etc) had stretch marks you are pre disposed and there is very little you can do about it. Just drink lots of water and lotions can help minimize it but sometimes nothing helps when you are predisposed to it.

    Congrats on the little one!

EDIT: I heard Bio-Oil works well but is extremely expensive for the amount you get if you are on a budget. Palmers did not do anything for me, my friend or my mom so I have little faith in the effect of it.

I have been using palmers cocoa butter massage lotion for stretch marks with shea butter (can be purchased at walmart). I have been using it 3 times a day since I was 6 weeks pregnant. I am 33 weeks pregnant and I still haven't found any stretch marks *knock on wood!* So it seems to be working :) Best of luck to you!! :D

to be honest i think once you have stretch marks you have them for good. bio oil and other products may fade them a bit but its hard to say how well those products work because they take quite a while to have any effect at all and the stretch marks fade on their own it time anyway so who knows if the products actually fade the stretch marks or if they just keep you busy while the marks fade on their own. i wouldn't waste my money unless i was buying the cream to prevent stretch marks rather than fade them.

Exfoliating the skin once a week, good lotion to keep skin hydrated (Palmer's, Keri Shea butter, Bio Oil, baby oil etc..), plenty of water to keep hydrate inside and time.
