what about adam and eve?.....?

It would if the Adam and Eve story was true,,but as we all know there is no god,,

So in evolution, how do you account for all the people in the world today? Wouldn't they have had to breed with one another? Or did they all just pop out at once?

When God created man and woman, he told them to "be fruitful and multiply" This was God's plan for populating the earth. God, the Creator of all things told them to do this. If He is Creator of all things, then wouldn't He be Master of all things, also? It was a command. They obeyed. It wasn't incest until God said so. He is God. He is the One who makes the rules, not us. Not you. Only Him. He later made laws against it, but not until the earth had been populated. However, the gene pool was pure at the time of Adam and Eve, and it wouldn't have been a problem with birth defects and such.

I'm still wondering how people who believe in evolution explain how the earth was populated.

It wasn't incest back then. It was the only way to fill the earth with people but never fear Adam and Eve were created genetically pure so harmful mutations were not a problem for a while. Sin corrupted the genes so bad by the time of Moses marriage between siblings and other family members were outlawed.

First of all, yes, you're correct. If Adam & Eve were the first creators of other humans, then we're all incest children. Also, there is too much genetic variation for us to come from just two people. Think logically here: (no meaning to be racist at all here) If we all came from two white people, where did Asian people and black people come from? Slightly racist of the Bible there, don't you think?

I don't get why everyone has such a problem with this. There is exactly as much incest accounted for in the Bible as would have been going on if evolution were true.

According to evolution, species can change from one species to another. This happens when a set of Chromosomes either splits or combine. Humans, for example, have 23 sets of chromosomes, while chimps have 24. Species with varying numbers of chromosomes can interbreed in some situations, but the offspring are always infertile. Therefore, if humans come from another species evolving, 2 different children of this species (lets say species x) would have had to mutate to form 23 sets of chromosomes, and then would have had to breed. Humans could not have bred with species x, because their children would be infertile.

So any way you look at it, the children of the first two humans (the first two beings with 23 chromosome sets) would have either had to breed with each other or with their parents.

incest was not a genetic sin when the Lord created "their" bodies.

remember the Lord cloned EVE (IMO) from Adams rib and had to alter her genetic code in order to make Her a different person.

clearly the Lord knew what to do and it wasnt until after the flood that He changed the genetic age of man, *imo

when the age of men became 120 years old so the law and commandments had to be changed. also

It is impossible for Adam and Eve to exist. If Adam and Eve were true, then how would they populate the Earth? It doesn't make sense.

Yes to adam and eve being 1st people and they are our descendants but the lineage is too far apart and grown too much in time for us to be practicing incest. Think how would god create man if not from man? God told them to multiply and make the earth abundant but in that time (after they sinned) the were not so far into sin as we are today that having children with relatives was not going to cause birth defects but as we have progressed into sin today and their is no need to be doing any such acts that's disgusting today but we aren't linked as closely today due to the abundance of people. Gods will took place and you have to trust that. :)

The Genesis creation narrative is allegory, not literal. The human species is not a product of incest (though I question the origins of certain individuals).

dont take the bible as it actually happened then you will never get out of doubt or win with the athiests.

its not a damn history lesson its a moral in life, you sin you pay for the crime. the bible is all life morals, do you really think there was a giant called goliath? no its a moral.

rather than saying dont sin or your going to hell, so we sin everyday anyways. they just tell is we come from a past of sin which we are doomed to continue, because of our human nature.
