powairy doesn't know what they're talking about except this: bondage *is* about dominance, and submission. Humiliation need not be part of that equation unless it is something that *both* partners are ok with.

Bondage, done in a BDSM context, is more about submission and surrender to another. I don't normally humiliate my girl, and she's not the type to enjoy that, anyway. I'm more of a sensualist Dom than a sadistic one.

My girl and I love bondage. Her surrender and submission to me make it a very powerful emotional connection. Anyone who thinks that all elements of BDSM *require* mistreating or abusing someone mentally or physically is out to lunch. It only comes into play if everyone involved is ok with it - otherwise, it *IS* abuse.

there's not much to it. just tie one of you to the bed with scarves and blindfold them while the other person has their way, or pretend a fantasy out--like she's an innocent schoolgirl or the prisoner of an evil warlord, etc. if you're shy about roleplaying, sometimes just talking about your fantasies can be pretty cool.
