Splitting the United States?

What the Civil War (and every war frankly) should show us is that it is not possible to change someone's idea of what is right or wrong through violence. Since then we've spent a century trying to eradicate differences of opinion on matters large and small through debate, legislation, court orders, new amendments to the Constitution, and every other means we can think of. Not a whole hell of a lot has changed in the grand scheme of things, and maybe rather than fighting it out then or now we should all just agree to disagree.

I'm not suggesting secession of half the country. I'm suggesting, tongue in cheek mainly, that we all get to say hey, this side of the line is going to do things the way this majority thinks it should be done, and that side is going to do it the way their majority thinks it should be done. Pick a side, move your *** and your stuff, and both sides are going to do things their way and leave each other the hell alone. You want to live in a "christian" country w
