What did the north wear and what did the south wear? Describe the soilders' uniforms.

    It would take too long to describe all the clothes that people wore around the time of the American Civil War. However I have found a web site that shows pictures of the clothes and will be of some help to you.

    During the civil war time, the main civil war clothes were shirts, tunics, pants etc.

    The main material for clothing was wool as it was cheaper than cotton or silk.
