How to get pen stains out of t-shirts?

Question

I was at an elementary school today and one of the little girls got a pen mark on my favorire t-shirt. I tried using a tide stick and most of it came out but it's still noticeable how do I get all of it to go away?

Spray it with hair spray on both sides right before washing it.  Do not let the hair spray dry or it will be worse.

Try spraying the pen mark with hairspray and gently rub.  Do not use expensive hairspray with conditioner and oils in it, but cheap-o hairspray with a high alcohol content like AquaNet or its generic equivalent.  If you don't have any cheap-o hairspray, you could also try the same method using rubbing alcohol.  Certain spot-cleaning products for carpets, such as Spot Shot, contain a high alcohol content and can often be used in laundry applications such as ink removal from clothing.

Home remedy - soak the spot in mild, wash and rinse.

if that doesn't work, buy some ink remover from the super market.
