We'd went to California to visit my grandmother, and I couldn't have been more than 2 or possible 3? I remember that I couldn't hardly wait to get to see the ocean that everyone had been talking about. We finally got there, and my mom was making a fuss over my clothes, (adjusting everything). Anyway I remember her finally getting done, and I took off to see it. I was running at first then decided to stop and take a good look...I remember thinking about how big it was, and it started making me dizzy. My thoughts then were that I didn't want to get too close, it being so big, and I also wondered what's keeping it in there? lol Anyway I decided to sit down with my pail and shovel and I remember the part of sitting down was just one movement, which amounted to sticking out by behind just enough to fall backwards the drop being only a few inches.

Edit: It's weird because me and a friend talked about it recently (earliest childhood memories). And I remember hearing my dad say that we went to the beach at Monterey, but that I was only a baby then?

This is the part that makes me laugh? Anyway while I was sitting there digging, I uncovered a tiny crab, and my thought was "It just goes to show, that while you're sitting here having fun, something always comes along and messes it up???? What? So Funny! lol And that was the end of my fun, it was over, I was done! ha ha

Sorry to have went on so long, but I find it so interesting, I just couldn't resist!

Having an all steel bright yellow pedal car with the two letters AA on it. My Dad had a long bar that he held linked through the dinky towbar at the rear which he used to push me to my Nan's house sometimes on a Sunday morning. I also had one of the first Scalextric tracks back in the late 1950's but I couldn't use the trigger properly as my hands were rather too small.

    The 1941 Blitz in Bristol.

We lived near the City Centre and were blasted out; the local Church went up in flames.

My grandmother found us a house to rent on the outskirts of the City and I went there by bus with an older cousin to await my parents and our furniture in a Removal van.

Crawling on the floor. I have snippets of that memory. It was a wooden floor.

I also remember being in the bassinet and my older brother would be int he room and start walking to me while saying "I'm gonna blow on your tummy!" and oh, how I dreaded when he did that! I hated it, but it tickled so much I had to laugh - but I hated laughing!

    Honestly...I remember being a baby.

Traveling on a long road trip with my parents in about 1983. I was almost 4 years old and making them play the song LUCILLE by Kenny Rogers over and over and over to keep my quiet. Haha.
