What would you do if you found out that you had been lied to about God?
God is not part of a trinity
God is not Jesus
God is not mysterious
God does not burn people in hell
Who would you blame? What would you do if by then, time would have run out to prove yourself to God?

You could only blame yourself for blindly accepting assertions as facts, and never investigating on your own.

The first assumption is that I was lied to...which means that it would have to be a person other than God...so like no big deal. Humans are prone to make mistakes and lie (haven't you noticed?).
God himself cannot lie. And if you have God living in you and teaching you what is true, then you should listen to that and not to people, so you wouldn't believe any lie that happens to come around.
God the Father loves us. Jesus the Son came as a man to tell us of the Father's love, and to effect our reconciliation through his death. The Father demonstrated Jesus' authority by raising him from the dead. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to live in all who believe. The Holy Spirit teaches us all things and give us a witness of our citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven.
So I would blame no one...since it doesn't matter if a human lied, since I would listen to God instead.
Your argument has one BIG flaw...if God does not allow people to go to hell, then why would anyone care if 'time ran out' on proving yourself to God?? According to you, there is no down side. Try again.

To get to that point, it takes time, an open heart and mind, a Bible Study that is relentless in its' pursuit of the truth, God's Holy Spirit to guide you, prayer for that as well, and perhaps a few other things I haven't covered, haha
Just realize that the lies are coming from Satan the Devil and then you will not blame people so much.
2 Cor. 4:3, 4 If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. (Also see 1 John 5:19)

Here are the lies about God I found out:
1. God is not real.
2. God does not move anymore, that stopped about 1,900 years ago when the Apostles died.
3. God does not want to heal people sometimes.
4. God does not want everyone to be saved from Hell
The fact is, I took the time to find out myself if this were all true. It is from having witness the real miracles and healings, having had the glory cloud of God surround me in the middle of church, having been shown things to happen in dreams that happened exactly as they did in my dream.
Proof is in the results. Forget the argument, what about the reality? I've done all these things only by the power of Jesus Christ, so He has proved to me that not only that He's real, He wants to live through me and my life.
Know what? He wants to do the same through you! You've got to do it His way.

I realized at a point of time in my own life that people had been lying to me about God.
I now know that God is not Trinity/Triune
that Jesus is not the Almighty God
that God is not mysterious
and that there is no literal burning of people in the hell
I now believe in One Invisible Indivisible Almighty God.
I share my belief in my blog, please take a look at it.

Prove yourself to God?
Doesn't God already know who I am?
Why would I have to prove myself to him?
And why would there be a time limit?

I would blame humanity, of course, the ones who invented the idea. It may have started out well enough, but before too long, turned us into something ugly.

Anyone who ever was told God exists was lied to. What do you do in response? Thank God he doesn't exist.

I would go and find who God is and seek Him for myself. I don't blame the ones who told me because they were misguided.

I believe those things. I am deeply religious/spiritual and I have had to face these things, so I am not longer a Christian.
