Zach was full of garbage. The bible is a fiction. God is a myth. Religion in 2011 is a money-making machine.

    Ask Zach.

The Bible book of Zechariah speaks of “ten men” who approach “a man who is a Jew” and say: “We will go with you people.” (Read Zechariah 8:23.) Since “a man who is a Jew” is spoken of as “you people,” he is a composite man. In our time, he represents the remnant of spirit-anointed Christians—part of “the Israel of God.” (Gal. 6:16) The “ten men out of all the languages of the nations” represent the great crowd of other sheep. Just as the anointed Christians follow Jesus no matter where he goes, the great crowd ‘goes with,’ or accompanies, the faithful and discreet slave. Those of the great crowd should never be ashamed to identify themselves as companions of the “partakers of the heavenly calling.” (Heb. 3:1) Jesus is not ashamed to call the anointed ones “brothers.”—Heb. 2:11.

It is referring to Christ and what was to come.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. -Zechariah 8:23.

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. -Luke 8:45-47.

The number ten as in the ten men in the Zechariah verse would seem to be a definite number for a large number. In that the ten would be a large multitude. The Zechariah verse even names Jesus as Immanuel.

He is speaking of the last days of this system. We know that the word Jew does not apply to ancient Israel because God canceled the arrangement He had with them when they broke the covenant. Jesus established a new covenant with his followers and they were then called the "New Israel". The "Jew" referred to is this group. They are specifically the 144,000 selected to go to heaven and rule with Jesus for 1000 years. Those "taking hold of their skirts" are the rest of us who will live forever on the earth.

When God was angry with His anointed people, He scattered them to different nations and make them ashamed and being mocked as a Jew.

After God anger disappear, He wanted them back to the land He gave to them and give them back the love, health, blessings & prosperity of His dream people and His nation and make them proud again as "New Israel" because God eternally get back to them and they will be His people as promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob as His descendants; then, the world & other nations wanted to be called Israel too because the God is with them for eternity, and for sure, there will be wonder, amazement, protection and His everlasting presence with them (and "us").

    God Bless!

it is Jesus or in general the Messiah which Israel brings forth to bring salvation to all nations.

it can be viewed as Jesus or nation of Israel that brought Jesus to us.

the time of fulfillment is 1st century and more specifically Pentecost where the Apostles spoke to people from many tongues and nations and all understood.

it was the birth of the kingdom of Christ, the Mountain of the Lord (aka the churches of Christ)

just as a mustard seed grows into the largest tree the kingdom started on Pentecost (small seed) and grows into the largest kingdom (over the full church age)

just as in Daniel's vision of a statue of 4 world empires a small stone (chief cornerstone - aka Jesus) comes and hit it and breaks it apart. the stone is Jesus and the imagery is that this stone grows into the Mountain of the Lord. we, as Christians are living stones in the temple of God - aka the kingdom of Christ - aka the church.

and as we grow in numbers the kingdom grows to the largest kingdom (largest tree)

look also to Isaiah 2 (very important to understand this concept)

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

this ^ is talking about the coming of Messiah and His kingdom starting on Pentecost (aka the church)

we NOW say to our neighbors - lets go to church to learn of God and follow His ways.

this also says the gospel will flow from Jerusalem (which it did) to all nations. we NOW go up to the Mountain of the Lord (the church) to learn of His ways and to worship Him.

Jesus is NOW reigning as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Jesus is NOW our High Priest.

the kingdom of Christ is NOW and all these names are equated to it

    kingdom of God

    kingdom of Christ

    kingdom of Heaven

    churches of Christ

    churches of God

    Mount Zion

    Mountain of the Lord

    Zechariah, chapter 8

In chapter 8 Zechariah shows that God forces the return to Zion and gathers His people from the east country and the west-country. They will dwell in Jerusalem in truth and righteousness. Before the final restoration there was no peace and God set every man against his neighbour. But in the Last Days He will make the earth give its fruit and God will do well to Jerusalem and to Judah. God will also restore Israel with Judah so that they are no longer a curse among the nations (Zech. 8:10-15).

This is what we are to do. We are to speak the truth to our neighbours and to execute judgment in truth and peace in our gates. We are to love our neighbours and to make no false oath. Judah will execute the fasts of the Fourth month (on the 9th when the city was broken up); Fifth month (10 Ab, when the Temple and the Houses were burnt); Seventh month (3 Tishri when Gedaliah was slain by Ishmael son of Nethaniah (Jer. 40:8; 41:1-3, 15-18) and Tenth month (10 Tebeth) when the king of Babylon set his face against Jerusalem (Ezek. 24:1-2)) (Zech. 8:19). These are man-made fasts and not the fasts of the Lord.

In those days, at the end of this age, men shall take hold of the robes of Judah out of all the languages on the earth and go to Jerusalem to pray to the Lord of Hosts (cf. Gen. 26:28; Isa. 2:3; Mic. 4:2). God’s people (Israel) will be restored.

Zechariah 8:1-23 And the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 2 "Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath. 3 Thus says the LORD: I will return to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain. 4 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand for very age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. 6 Thus says the LORD of hosts: If it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in my sight, says the LORD of hosts? 7 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country; 8 and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be my people and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness." 9 Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Let your hands be strong, you who in these days have been hearing these words from the mouth of the prophets, since the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. 10 For before those days there was no wage for man or any wage for beast, neither was there any safety from the foe for him who went out or came in; for I set every man against his fellow. 11 But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as in the former days, says the LORD of hosts. 12 For there shall be a sowing of peace; the vine shall yield its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. 13 And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong." 14 For thus says the LORD of hosts: "As I purposed to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, and I did not relent, says the LORD of hosts, 15 so again have I purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah; fear not. 16 These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another, render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace, 17 do not devise evil in your hearts against one another, and love no false oath, for all these things I hate, says the LORD." 18 And the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 19 "Thus says the LORD of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love truth and peace. 20 "Thus says the LORD of hosts: Peoples shall yet come, even the inhabitants of many cities; 21 the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, `Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts; I am going.' 22 Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of the LORD. 23 Thus says the LORD of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, `Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'"
