Monotheists, why does God expect people to continue to live when their only possible comfort is death?

If someone is a monotheist they most likely believe in an afterlife.

Where you are put in the afterlife (good place or bad place) depends on your actions on Earth.

So, you need to lead a good life to get to a good place in the Afterlife.

The Christian God has stated that suicide is a sin and if you commit it with full will and no repentance you are going to Hell.

So...

If you are gonna die, do you want it to be a terrible place or a good place?

It depends on the way you live your life.

But if your referring to the afterlife then: This is because God gave us a chance to perform deeds, which will shape are life in the hereafter. More bad deeds= Hell, more good deeds= Heaven.

A montheist God needs stability. A Yin to his Yang. the concept of God shouldn't in any respect be restricted to an straightforward version of reliable vs. evil that a kindergartner would comprehend. Very good question. Your concept of God, is not based on what the Bible says. Discomfort, is the Lord's way of drawing you to Himself. The void you feel in life is God given, and can only be fill fully, with the Lord Jesus Christ. Everybody does more and more things to feel that void, but they can't. That's on purpose. It is a SPIRITUAL void that He desires to fill.

Perhaps because is it not all about them, perhaps there are others who want them around or are able to serve because of them. Or perhaps they have something else to learn before death. Life is not all about comfort, sometimes it is about learning things such as compassion, understanding, love, even in the middle of suffering.
