Do I still need to buy them presents?

My cousins are 14 and 17 and I've always bought them birthday/christmas presents since they were kids. I'm only a few years older than them, and since they have no expenses but do have jobs, they actually have more money than I do!!

I don't mean to sound greedy, but I don't get presents from them, not even a "Happy Birthday" on my birthday. I'm kind of tired of getting them presents, since I can't really afford it and they already have everything they need/want anyway.

How do you gradually stop giving someone gifts? or am I wrong?

Save your money! If they don't even say happy burthday to you then you don't need to get them gifts. It's one thing when they're little kids but it's another when they're older, if they asked why you didn't get them gifts just say " well this year I thought you guys were a little to old for gifts hence the fact that you already have jobs and make just enough money yourselves to buy things." Reasonable?

you should only buy gifts if it gives you joy!! if they don't reciprocate, and you don't just looove buying gifts then my vote is that it is completely unnecessary. christmas is certainly not about the presents and they aren't small children who cant grasp that concept. i say take what you would have spent on them, and buy yourself something special :)

    merry christmas!!
