whats a 2007 C6 Corvette with 150k miles worth?

Question

So I was looking to buy the new camaro, perhaps the regular 1SS, but I came across a 2007 Corvette clean tiltle with 150,000 miles on the LS2 motor. The owner said he used the car for mostly highway miles, hes an older gentleman too, and he said he would take it for maintenance every 3-5 months. His asking price is $16,000 cash. Should I consider it a good daily driver for the next two to three years, of course given that i'll be taking good maintenance. Its a six speed automatic too.

I don't think so - I just purchased a 2002 with 40000 miles in mint condition just needing tires for $17000......

$16000 cash? - Worth it?..... Yes this car has highways miles which is a good thing. But you have to understand - Its a corvette... and the rules are a little different... The value of a corvette no matter how old is based on condition and the miles on it.... As an example... No one pays top dollar for an economy car with high miles that's 8 years old.... People do pay top $$$$ for a Corvette no matter how old if it has low miles on it..... In 2015 your vette will be 8 years old and will have assuming you drive 10000 to 12000 miles a year approximately 180000 to 190000 miles on it.... At that point No One will pay you top dollar for it....

I say if you really want a Corvette then consider one with lower miles on it.... Even if its a C5 Model.... Shop harder.... I lucked out on mine because the guy had an alcoholic son living in the house always trying to get the keys, so he let it go for $6000 under book to get it out of his life.... It is in mint condition, clean carfax and just needed new tires.... $17000 was a steal.....

I think that's probably in the right ballpark.  It does have high miles but a nice average mileage C5 would cost around 20k at least.  Since it's mostly highway miles and owned by an older gentleman, that sounds like a nice deal on a very cool ride.  The LS style motors seem to have great longevity and reliability.
