Where are the words "jobs", "economy", "bailout", or "stimulus" located in the Constitution?

I have been desperately searching for them, but I am unable to find any of them.

I have also been unable to find "redistribute the wealth".

If none of these things are in the Constitution (and they aren't), then how can you as President believe that they are a part of your job description. Haven't you ever read the Constitution?

The reason you haven't... and the progressives are being disingenuously when they attempt to place them there... is because the Constitution was a document describing the powers and specifically the limitations of Federal Government. It is not, per say, a document describing an economic viewpoint or philosophy. Half of those terms were not in use to describe economic theories when it was penned.

The progressives look at the Constitution as a barrier to their vision of progress--which requires changing or at least "reinterpreting" the nature of the American Constitution. They believe in and support extreme socialistic and--when we stop mincing words--down right fascistic governmental powers and controls.

We have seen these experiments in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. For the most part we as a nation have not at all liked them. But while we as a nation have rejected them, their proponents here continue to press them and hope to wear down... those who support the original and capitalistic nature of American Democracy. Definitely some socialistic values have crept into American Government over the last century to be sure... but "modern progressivism" attacks the very heart and principles of the classic liberalism that the Founders designed and that modern conservatives desire to retain.

Modern progressivism is far closer to European fascism in its precepts and ideals than to the classic liberalism of the Founders. That lies at the heart of the argument and it is the one they are attempting to sidestep in their quest to fundamentally transform America into something, shall we say... more European?

They dont violate the U.S. Constitution, that is the issue.

Wealth has not been re-distributed from top to bottom unfortunately. All of the wealth gets accumulated at the top, squeezing the middle class ever more.

    Found it for you.

"The Congress shall have Power... provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States..."

"To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States..."

"To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin..."

"To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."

    You're welcome.
