The real issue here is racism.

When an innocent person is on trial for murder, if he is black he is found guilty, but if she is a cute white girl, then she is found not guilty.

Casey Anthony was found not guilty.

Thousands of Black men who's guilt had a reasonable doubt about it, were defended by incompetent court appointed lawyers in front of a white jury, the result? The D.A. coaxed a guilty verdict out of the jury and the Black man got the death penalty.

Amanda and a Black guy were tried for the same murder.

The Black guy and Amanda got guilty.

Nobody cares about the Black guy, but there are people all over the world who are saying they can't find Amanda guilty.

Therefore Amanda has come to personify racial injustice.

I also completely agree with Weasel McWeasel. Couldn't have said it better. Amanda Knox should not be walking free. Ugh and she's from my hometown. She, in my eyes is another Casey Anthony. We need justice for Meredith Kercher and her family who has suffered-and is still suffering.

I don't think she was ever guilty. It just never made any sense to me. There was never any forensic evidence tying her to the crime scene. Besides, they already caught the man who's hairs, prints, and other forensic evidence was all over the scene itself.

This man (Rudy Guede) lived beneath Amanda and Meredith's flat, and had a long history of robbery's using tah da da dah!!! a nice big knife. In fact he was caught just a couple of weeks earlier trying to rob a kids school and of course was let go.

Amanda might have displayed some odd behavior initially, but once he was caught, charges should have been dropped. She was eventually just targeted and fixed upon. A media sensation and an easy target.

What sounds more likely? That Amandaher boyfriend and Rudy, with whom they had almost zero contact, sexually assaulted and then killed Meredith. Or that Rudy, either was robbing Meredith's room when she stumbled on him after coming home or simply was sleeping when he came into her room, raped and then killed her and fled the scene?

Somehow, I think the latter is more likely.

There just wasn't any evidence. She would never have been convicted in America or in Britain, had she been tried there. The murderer is behind bars. Geude is in jail. His DNA was all over the room.

It's a tragic incident. Knox was clearly into things she shouldn't have been. She was, by some accounts, promiscuous and doing drugs and drinking heavily. None of these mean she is a murderer.

The police handled the investigation unprofessionally and incompetently.

I hope that the victim's family gets some peace. But creating more victims doesn't help anyone.

They probably just wanted to bang someone up for it 2 years ago and those two were the ones the police put on the stand.

I'm not saying they didn't do it, but I think now the jury have had time to reflect and calm down they have seen that the evidence presented to them wasn't really strong enough to give someone 26 years inside. You have to be sure beyond reasonable doubt and unfortunately there's too many indiscrepancies and shoddy police work in the aftermath.

Because they used tainted DNA evidence at the first trial which included a knife found in her boyfriend's apartment. The Italian Court then found that evidence inadmissable in the appeal hearing as it was severly flawed. In fact the knife isn't even believed to be the murder weapon. No evidence = an overturned conviction.

Anyone who believes she was guilty is, I am afraid, completely ignorant. Those people need to be ashamed--totally ashamed--for expressing that opinion without considering that there is no evidence against her, and never has been. She was not there when Kercher died; Rudy Guday is the only one who was present, the only one who's DNA was in the room. Shame on you who can't face the truth.

I'm an American, living in Italy, and this is SICKENING. As sickening as watching Casey Anthony walk free. They were CONVICTED because they LIED to police, tried to frame an INNOCENT man, changed their freaking story like 10 times, and not a ONE of them checked out..........

and because DNA evidence linked them to the crime.

She was let out, because they successfully argued that the evidence "MAY"......M+A+Y. have been contaminated. Yeah, and maybe it freaking WASN'T, because you freaking killed her!

But without that key evidence......the rest was all circumstantial........and nothing "proved" she did it.

Meaning there wasnt any actual FILM footage of the killing.

Her actions, and lies, and trying to frame an innocent man, speak VOLUMES of what she was trying to HIDE and cover up. She's guilty as sin, and now another murderer walks free.

And she WAS found GUILTY of defamation............Guilty of LYING to police.....and got 3 years for that! But since she's already been behind bars for 4...............she walks out tonight , a free woman.

Kerchers Parents must be besides themselves. What a sick joke.

No she wasn't guilty. The Europeans were desperate to find her guilty because she was Americans. This verdict makes the Europeans, their criminal justice system and their media look stupid and pathetic.
