Transplant "and divide if you want to" Shasta Daisies in the spring when they are breaking dormancy and showing a 2 to 4 of inches of new growth. Dig your hole where you want to move them to and fill it with water and let it sink into the ground. Then dig your plant trying to get most of the roots and transplant. Putting water in the hole lets your plants roots hit moisture right away and settle in. It's much better than watering after.

I do most of my transplanting dividing and moving around of perennials in the spring. I find that for me in my climate plants survive the winter better if they are not transplanted in the fall.

I live in the Area where Shasta Daisey's are wild, near Mount Shasta. We can transplant them anytime and they grow. Spring, summer, or fall. Frequently, one gets pulled during weeding. Just stick it in the ground in a new location and give it water, it will grow.
