Have you ever had a baby born at 38 weeks?

And if so how big was the baby? Did they have any trouble breathing or eating? My doctor is dilivering our little one by csection at 38 weeks due to some complications. Im just nervous. My first was born at 40 weeks so im not sure what to expect.

Two weeks either way is fine... so at 38 weeks, your baby is fully developed and will probably be perfectly okay.

My first was born at just over 37 weeks. She was 6 lbs 13 oz, so pretty average sized. She did not have problems breathing or anything (other than needing a little stimulation to perk her up immediately after delivery, which is common). She had some difficulty learning to breastfeed, partly due to her relative immaturity, compared to a 40 week baby, and partly due to my nipples being flat. We worked it out and all was fine!

My oldest was 38 weeks and one day. I had an induction due to a serious medical problem that occurred during the middle of the pregnancy. My induction failed but I had a successful c-section.

She was born very healthy. 6 pounds 11 oz. No problems whatsoever.

My youngest improve into born at 36 weeks and weighed 6 lbs 2 oz. She improve into advantageous aside from being born with developmental hip dysplasia which had extremely not something to do along with her delivery. My oldest improve into born at 40 weeks and weighed 5 lbs 12 oz. i'm in basic terms 4 ft 11 so I even have small infants. the main extreme element is lung progression. as long because it extremely is heading in the right direction the infant could be advantageous.

Mine was at 38 1/2 weeks. He was 7 pounds. No breathing problems. he was just a little bit jaundiced. It took him a couple of weeks to really get the hang of breast feeding. but all in all we've never had any problems with him.

My first was born at 40w5d, my second at 38w1d. My 38 week baby was jaundiced and a lil bit smaller, but she was just fine. At 38 weeks your baby should be fine too.

Mine was born at exactly 38 weeks. He was 6lbs 2oz and just fine. 38 is in the realm of full term.

38 weeks is very close to delivery, and chances are that your baby will come out fine and breath on his/her own! 38 weeks is kind of the "safe" point according to most doctors when it comes to delivery! Congrats! :)

My second was born at 37w 5days she weighed 8lb exactly and had no issues at all.I was released from hospital to take her home when she was 6 hours old. Good luck but there's no reason for there to be any problems at that point.
