Ok, I know you said you don't like vampires, so I was wondering about fallen angels. I would recommend the Hush Hush series and the Fallen series. I would also recommend the Need series. These books all have romance and suspense, but the romance is more different, and the suspense is great. Some of them had the creep out effect, like Hush Hush and Need and Fallen. But yeah, they are fantastic reads. If you like suspense like the Hunger Games, I would recommend the Darkest Powers series by Kelley Armstrong. It is about this girl Chloe who gets sent to a mental institution and she finds out that she is seeing ghosts and is a supernatural, a necromancer. She and her friends plan a break out, but she gets caught. You'll have to read about it better, because I'm not good at explaining things, its better than what I said. Oh my gosh you HAVE TO KEEP READING! The book is a little boring in the beginning, but it gets SO GOOD!!!! Just keep reading! I have all three books and I've read them 3 times each! Trust me, I'm the kind of person who won't buy a book OR read it more than once if I didn't love it. It does get good. Trust me. Chapter 2 is when it really starts getting good. You can't just read the first few pages and get a good idea of the book. Please, take my advice and LOVE THIS BOOK! It's amazing! Oh and you should also read the next 2 books, Catching Fire (which is reeeaaallly boring in the beginning but it gets so good in parts 2 and 3), and Mockingjay (which is just a big bowl of AWESOME!) You should read the Mortal Instruments series, and her other series is Clockwork Angel. You can go on the internet and search up the summary, i'm bad at those

Vanished by Meg Cabot is a really good book: it's about a girl who got struck by lightning. She went home and found out that the electrical current never left her body. She sees a picture of a missing child, and when she wakes up the next morning, she knows exactly where the child is. Her powers get found out and the police keeps bothering her for details. Oh, and did i metion the hot guy she likes and dates later on. It's a really good series and i highly recommend it.

i think you will like fablehaven it is sorta like the hunger games and i like the hunger games more ( its my favorite series) but fablehaven is a close second its about a girl and her brother that go to their grandpa's house. they had never really known their grandparents and didn't want to go when they get their its a big preserve. they stay in the attic that is filled with toys and they soon find out that thier are magical creatures on the preserve and it turns into this really great book filled with surprises. it has five books in the series and is very good. it is by brandon mull.

Divergent by Veronica Roth.This is a good book.The second thing you should know is that author Veronica Roth writes one hell of a story, with some phenomenal world-building and a main character that is tough as nails, but vulnerable enough to show her softer side. In fact, there isn't one thing about Divergent that I didn't like.
