Detroit: They're always a winning team with great history.

Pittsburgh: Great team and a chance to play with two of the best players in the league.

    Carolina: Home state team.

Vancouver: Chance to play on a great Canadian team and help them achieve their first Cup.

NY Rangers: Home games at MSG, live in NYC, play in front of arguably the best goalie in the NHL.

No: Toronto or Montreal: Too much pressure to be great and win a Cup in those markets.

    In no particular order-

Chicago Blackhawks- I really love their arena, it's always very loud. They have one of the best jerseys in the NHL. Great fan support and Chicago seems like a really cool city.

Toronto Maple Leafs- Can the fans of this team be any more loyal? I think not. They definitely have a great fan base. Despite their standings in the last few seasons, I really feel they can become a Playoff-worthy team. Oh, Toronto is a great city and I also like their jerseys. Plus ACC seems like a great arena to play in.

Montreal Canadiens- I love their Jerseys. They have a great, big fan base. It would be an honour to get to play at the Bell Centre for 41 games a Season! A team with very rich history and great players.

    No go-

    1. Florida Panthers- They don't have a big fan base...and I hear the ice there is awful, due to the hot temperature and humidity.

Depends on how much of a pay cut. There are a lot of factors to consider including how much I already earned. Hockey can end in a moment for any player so getting the bills paid and a future planned for my family would be a huge factor in any decision. But if we assume I am set financially then the only other important goal of any hockey player should be a chance to host the Cup. So with that in mind here are some logical choices.

1 Red Wings....hometown team and perennial contender. Like the idea of playing close to home.

    2. Boston Bruins....seem set to contend for awhile with nice young talent. Original 6 team and probably a great chance to cash in on endorsement deals.

    3. Chicago...another top contender with a young roster primed for the long haul. Another Original 6 team and I have been there many times in my life. Lots to do for the family and again probably plenty of endorsement chances out there (making up some of that pay cut is never bad)

Any other true contender could get my attention I suppose but anything past those 3 would require a really good sales pitch

As for the NO GO...right now it would have to be Ottawa. No direction....lack talent and seem to lack a plan to get better. Far different culture than I am used to....something the family would also struggle with.

Yeah I don't think I have 5 I'd take a pay cut to play with. Maybe just 4. The New York Rangers just because it's New York. The Red Wings because the club is so successful. You'd probably end up making more money on your next contract just from having played in Detroit. Chicago, just because it's an exciting original 6 club, and my sort of hometown team, the Senators.

An absolute no go... that's even tougher. Probably Long Island. It's just depressing. That place can swallow careers.

    San Jose

    Los Angeles

    Anaheim

    Florida

Dallas or Carolina, i ran out of really nice warm weather cities. I need to brush up a bit on my hockey.

Play hockey and step out into 75 degree weather.

Maybe help bring the cup back to NY Islanders,or to Montreal

    3. Minnesota, I like the arena

    4. Calgary, that looks like a cool place

    5. Toronto or Vancouver, both big Canadian cities

No go: Tampa Bay. I need a place with support.
