What the #%$@ is wrong with Internet Explorer?

If your downloading from a reliable source, cut off the avg resident shield. Lots of programs are not recognized by avg as safe, for instance, I get good programs with Key Generators, and even tho their virus free, avg thinks otherwise. I use em, then after the install is done, I run avg and get rid of them. This way I still have a good reliable program that functions and lose the keygenerators and stuff.

Also, if you need IE then re-download it from MS, if you can get by without it, go for Google Plus, small, loads quick and no background krap is ever being loaded.

Internet Explorer is the least secure browser. Stop using it.

In the meantime, get rid of your malware. Run a scan with MalwareBytes and Gmer.

But probably the first thing you should do is change your windows account to Limited. That will take away Admin privileges from the malware. One of the reasons Linux and Macs are more secure than Windows is because root access isn't granted without a password. You make Windows do the same thing and it will be much more secure with that simple step.

Scrap AVG. It is not the best by a long shot.
