Lipstick / lipcolour that lasts all day?

I wear red lipstick all the time; I'm just having a hard time finding one with good wear time. I've tried so many that claim "all day wear" but none of them last.

I need something that I can put on and not have to worry about checking every ten minutes for smudges and fading. At about $25-$30 a lipstick/gloss; it's getting too expensive to try everything.

Any reccomendations?

Regardless of how much you spend on a gloss, it will not last all day lol. Some definitely last longer than others (MAC, Buxom, Stila etc), but almost all of them wear off within a few hours.

As far as lipstick goes, pay close attention to the finish when buying lipsticks. Matte lipsticks tend to last much longer than "sheer" or "glossy" lipsticks. I find that MAC Matte Lipsticks have amazing wear time. Try the shade 'Ruby Woo'.

I also love Lise Watier Glam Rouge Infini Lipstick Duo. It's a coordinating lipstick AND stain. The color virtually never wears away because the stain grasps on to tons of lipstick pigments, leaving you with a red stain even after the initial lipstick fades. This product truly does last all day. It's really quite ingenious.

BTW- Application method also makes a difference in how long lipstick lasts. Apply, blot with a tissue, reapply, then blot again. The tissue absorbs extra oils that cause lipstick to fade and bleed.

Try lipstains instead of lipsticks. It's still great color, but it doesn't smudge or wear off like lipstick. Just be careful not to apply too much, since it comes out like marker. If you want the gloss, you can always put some clear gloss on afterwards, or even a shimmery chapstick. Hope I helped! :)

L.A. Colors Moisture Lipstick is my favorite lipstick, it has great staying power but doesn't dry out lips.... applied lightly it looks natural or apply heavier for a "finished" look. The store I used to purchase no longer carries LA Colors, specifically the expresso color. I looked at two other stores and decided I'm done. I will order from this vendor from now on (plus it arrived in a couple days). Thank you so much!!!

Ive always used Covergirl's Everlast lipstick. It's the longest lasting brand I could find and even comes with a glossing/moisturizing stick to improve the duration.

MAC Lipstick Lustre Lipstick is a neutral, frosty pink that looks great for everyday wear or paired with dramatic smokey eyes for an evening look. MAC lipstick is awesome: it's smooth, creamy, and long-lasting, and it smells like vanilla, which I love.

I recommend using lipstain instead of lipstick, the color is just as if not more vibrant, and it really does last all day. You could go the high-quality expensive route, but drug store stain works just as well! Try it out and good luck! :)

Lipgloss never lasts all day. Thats why a lot of people bring it with them to touch it up. Sometimes, the best things are cheaper. If you want a lip color try a lip stain. It won't last all day long but it will last longer because its staining your lips. Try Revlon or Maybelline.

For lipgloss, the stickier the lipgloss, the longer it will last, and i know a lot of people don't like sticky lipgloss, but it will last longer.
