We had a Gross Out party for my son and nephew and we served some gross stuff.

Bloody Worms - slice hot dogs into long, skinny strips and add some ketchup or BBQ sauce. They hold in a crock pot well (on low or warm). Just stir occasionally.

Goblin Toes - Take Lil' Smokies and cut a little bit off the top of the end (like where a toenail would be). Spread a little bit of cream cheese (or cheddar cheese spread) on the "toenail bed" and stick a pimento on it. Skewer with a toothpick so they don't roll around.

Vomit Dip - Cook 1 lb ground beef or sausage; drain. Add to a crock pot and add half a block of Velveeta cheese and a jar of salsa (more or less cheese to taste). It looks nasty but it's delish!

Kitty Litter Cake - Just google it. You'll find a billion instructional recipes and videos. Easy, tasty and it looks gross.

Deviled Eyeballs - Make regular deviled eggs. Stick a black olive in the center and use some red food coloring and a toothpick to make the "veins" in the eye.

Booger Dip - Mix Cheese Whiz, green food coloring and a little bit of relish. Peel the label off the Cheese Whiz jar and label it "Booger Dip"

Dirty Ashtray Dip - Buy a cheap plastic ashtray. Grind up oreo cookies (about 8 - 10 cookies) in a food processor until they're really fine. Place in ashtray. Sprinkle with 1/3 c powdered sugar and kind of mix the crumbs and sugar around until it looks like ashes. Take candy cigarettes and break into various lengths. Burn the ends slightly and place in the ashtray to look like outened cigarettes. You can't really eat it very well, but it looks gross.

Here's another site that I used for some inspiration (but some of the ideas were not proper for a 12 year olds party. It might work for you, though)

(check out the Truck Stop Toilet and Used Tampons. Very gag inducing)

I enjoy THEME-BASED-treats served as hours d'verves at parties I attend.

One such treat was VERY SIMPLE Pigs-in-a-blanket with the meats cut into smaller-chunks and individually-breaded. %These "Mini-piggies" were served so they looked like EYE BALLS on a plate!

Another dish was served as an (again) Simple (SPAM) patte' that was formed into the shape of a human heart. <-This, served along-side a veggie-dish of individual veggies that were sculpted into other human anotomical appendages (celery sticks as fingers, tomato heart as the base of a hand, etc.) went over quite well with the attending surgeons.

This party was themed on DR. JEKYLL / MR. HYDE setting.

    BE CREATIVE and ENJOY!

Even though you think it might be corny, check out the Martha Stewart website for ideas. We used to make "witches fingers" out of little mini sausages with red bbq sauce and almond slivers for fingernails. If they are done right, can look quite real.
