Why do some people drink diet coke in the morning (every morning) as their breakfast?

    As someone who drinks Diet Coke with breakfast, it is like a cup of coffee for me. It helps me wake up and get my mind moving just as a cup of coffee would do. And yes it very addictive and probably unhealthy.

    Due to the aspartame and caffeine it is a highly addictive soda and people that drink it in the morning are likely to be drinking it throughout the day as well.

    I guess it's because they need the energy from it. Kinda gross and unhealthy though.
