what size exercise sheet?
I have a 15hh Shire X Gypsy Vanner, he wears a 6'6" rug! So what size exercise sheet do you think would be right for him? I'm torn between 4'6 and 4'9, any advise?
yes I asked this last night but only 1 answer and they from someone who doesn't know what an exercise sheet is so wasn't exactly helpful

My 14.1 Highland wears a 6'3 or 6'6 rug, he's not very long but is wiiiiiiiide, I've just bought him a new exercise sheet which very helpfully is labelled cob - not long but allows for a wide bottom, and I'm pretty sure it's a 4'6. I would say if in doubt err on the big side as these things are inevitably made for racey types!

As in a fleece or sheet to put on even as driving? I'd take a look at a cob or an entire, given that together with her being an irish go, she can be higher boned than say a tb i am geussing, however together with her best being 15.one million she could also be just a little small for the whole. If she is a colossal boned irish then opt for the whole, if she is best mild opt for cob measurement!

A 4"9 exercise sheet fits the 14.3 welsh d x fell I look after who takes a 6"0 rug so I think you'll need a much bigger exercise sheet! Measure where you'd put an exercise sheet:}

Here's a conversion table, a horse that wears a 6'6" rug would normally wear a 4'9" exercise sheet

He's 15hh and wears a 6'6" rug????? Man, he must be round LOL.
My OTTB is 16.3 and he varies between a 6'3". and a 6'6".
But yes the conversion table supplied by the other user should be helpful.

Hi
the best thing is to measure your horse from his wither area or middle of his shoulder to a line vertical with the top of his tail for correct measurement of an exercise sheet.
