No, it doesn't mean you're Catholic. I don't even know if the Catholic Church would truly consider you Catholic even, since you, I assume, weren't confirmed into the Church. I'm Catholic, I was confirmed as an adult a few years ago, but I was baptized Methodist as a baby, and that was good enough for the Catholic Church, which is kind of cool that they are accepting of most mainstream protestant baptisms that way I guess, all accept the crazy-type churches!
I consider myself Catholic even though I'm not very active with the church, they have several beliefs that I don't agree with, but several that I do, plus I love the tradition, beauty, and some of the music of the Mass services. Often, especially in my answers on Yahoo Answers, I appear closer to an Atheist though LOL!!!! I considered myself Catholic long before I was ever confirmed though, since it was the Christian church that I liked and related to the most. Sure, it's not perfect, but neither am I or anyone else who's reading this message!
I also joined the Mormon church about 11 years ago, not the brightest choice on my part! The Mormons don't recognize other church's baptisms (nor do other churchs recognize theirs), so in 2000, I was baptized and then a week later, confirmed Mormon. With the exception of a few short periods over those 11 years, I was not active in the Mormon church at all and didn't like many things about it, so I didn't really even consider myself Mormon, even though I was listed as a member on their rolls. You're only what you consider yourself to be, regardless of what church or organization has you listed as a member! In May of this year, I contacted the headquarters of the Mormon church in Salt Lake City and had my name removed from their official membership records. I wasn't a Mormon already long before that point though, I just did that so the church could know I did not believe in their teachings and would not follow their doctrine or be considered one of them, you know, to send them a message of sorts. Plus, it was nice to make it official for me too.
Long story short, you're only what you want to be in religion. Unlike government organizations, religions have no direct authority over you and you can refuse any disciplinary actions they try and perform on you or anything else! They may say they have authority over your soul and it's eternal destination, but if you don't believe in the authority of the church in the first place, it doesn't really matter if they damn you to hell or not!!!
I wouldn't worry about your Catholic baptism. The Catholic Church has no authority over you unless you believe in it and allow it!

First off, Catholics are not the only ones to baptize.
Second, it takes a more then just being baptized to be a Catholic
If you do not believe in God and you lie your way through a baptism in the Catholic church, it will mean you are baptized Catholic, but it won;t mean you are a Catholic.
Also, you just don't walk in to the Catholic church, say you want to be baptized, and they automatically perform the ceremony.

Your baby does not have got to pay the cost in your loss of a Catholic marriage. There isn't any rule denying any baby baptism. The rationale a few pastors have a trouble is that they do not think the mom and dad will elevate the baby as Catholic if they did not hassle getting safely married. It is a demand that you simply intend to elevate the baby Catholic to be baptized within the church. You can regularly have a moment, small rite within the church so your marriage shall be identified via the Vatican. If you wish to elevate the child Catholic, it possibly well to comply with the foundations your self. Children are not inspired via what you are saying. They're inspired via what you're.

If you were baptized Catholic, you can just say you were baptized a Catholic. But that doesn't mean you are Catholic. You are not Catholic, because you don't believe our dogma. If you don't accept all of our dogma as truth then you cannot be Catholic. If you do call yourself Catholic even though you don't believe a single word we say, then your a Catholic in name only. I would call you an idiot. You are not Catholic.

It means you were baptized in a Catholic church just as I was baptized in a Pentecostal church. It means nothing unless 1. It is a conscious decision to be baptized with water, and 2. It brings about Holier Baptism with the Holy Spirit. Infant baptism is a ritual that has nothing to do with the heart and the mind. Only those who know what they are baptized into will receive the Newness of Life through Christ.
Ask yourself, what were you baptized for, and to Whose Name were you baptized into? If you don't know, then your baptism is no more effective to your soul than a bathe in the tub. Consciously make the decision to be baptized into Jesus Christ and you will receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit, which is the Only Baptism that can secure the soul for Everlasting Life.

If you were baptized in the Catholic Church, you are Catholic and always will be. It's a matter of whether you are a practicing Catholic or a non-practicing Catholic.

Yes, according to the Catholic Church, you will always be a Catholic even if you choose to be an atheist.
According to Scripture, baptism does not make anyone a Christian or a Catholic.

Nope. I'm an atheist who was baptised as a baby in a Catholic church. Obviously I didn't consent to it, so it's meaningless.

Only by Catholic ideals. You are truly whatever you call yourself.

Yes you are a catholic, what are you going to do when your satanist cult finds out? Will they give you up for a human sacrifice as a traitor? What would Anton Lavey say?
