While Lizzie Borden murdered her parents could be a lie, people have heard it so many times they think it is true.

yea. but the difference is, that lizzie borden most likely did kill her parents. Amanda knox is obviously innocent to any one who truly looks at the case. Also, back in the day when Lizzie Borden Killed her parents, there wasn't any real forensic science around, so really no way of proving she did it for sure. in Amanda's case, there was no forensic evidence against her at all. none of her dna or anything was found in the murder room where meredith was killed.
