Too soon for the "L word"?
Okay... so I'm 16 and going to homecoming with my girlfriend (also 16) to homecoming right? Well, I was thinking it'd be really romantic to say I loved her during a slow dance... problem is, we've been dating for a month and a week now... so Idk if this is too soon, I mean she already says it, so what's your opinion? We really care about each other and we connect like really well there's definitely something really special about it and I've never felt this way before... mature answers please, and ik it's prolly not full legit love but I think I do love her as far as I can comprehend and I think I have a good grasp on the love concept... so yeah.

To be honest, no, it is probably not love but a different L word, Limerence. This is the feeling you get when you first meet someone and are basically infatuated with them and mistake it for love. Eventually this feeling will fade. If it doesnt then maybe you actually have some real feelings for this girl, but it's still too soon to tell. I don't believe that you are too young to be in love, that is bs. There is not some magic switch that turns on inside of you at a certain age that allows you to love. You are capable of love at a very early age, but some people are just not mature or rational about it. To completely answer your question, it is not too soon to say it because that four letter word is the only way you know how to express the way you feel :) and I think it is a very thoughtful and romantic idea!

It's only too soon if YOU think it's too soon. If you both feel the same way, then it's not too soon. Life is too short to not tell the ones you love how you feel. You only live once :) And at homecoming would be soo romantic. Go for it! Good luck!

You will have to handiest say it whilst you consider it one hundred%.Maybe even wait till you suppose the opposite man or woman feels the identical so you do not scare them off too rapid.Give it no less than 6 months.

"Infatuation is like a garden, if cared and looked after, it grows to love. if abused or neglected, it dies."
This line here has helped through 'relationships'. If you feel it, you feel it. if you don't, you don't. Plain and simple. Keep in mind that love and infatuation are two COMPLETELY different things, hopefully you know the severe differences.

If u feel it in your bones... then why not?? After all she has already said it, and probably feels a little bad that u have not reciprocated the feeling as yet. I say go for it!
