Can I use this type of RAM?

Ok, so I have a Dell Optiplex 745, and I was reading through the tech specs on the website to see what speed/size RAM I could use. Now, this is more of a grammar question, but it quotes:

"512-MB, 1-GB, or 2-GB (800MHz not available in 2GB DIMM)"

Now what I don't understand is what is in the brackets. Does it mean:

"I can use 2GB DIMM, as long as it isn't 800MHz?"

Or does it mean:

"I can use 800MHz, but Dell doesn't sell 2GB DIMM at 800MHz?"

It is quite confusing, but I've put it as simple as I can! Anyway, thanks for any help, and if you think I should, I will re-post this to a grammar area :)

It sounds to me like at the time the specifications were written 800MHZ wasn't available on the market.

Anyway, Crucial says it can take 2gb modules of 800Mhz.

This means RAM cheaps comes in differrent flavors. and you can use a chip which is 2gb either lower or hight capacity cna be used. But 800mgh flavor does not come in 2gb chips. I dont know the specs of your model but it usally means if you like to use a 2gb chip use a different slower of faster than 800mhz
