What's wrong with this floor?

At my Grandma's yesterday I noticed in the hall there is a patch of floor which seems to be sort of sagging/dipping and when I walked on that part of the hall in my bare feet, it was damp. Can anyone shed any light on what has happened and who I can contact to get it mended? My Gran is in hospital so I want it sorted before she comes home.

Sounds like you probably have a water leak in a pipe under the floor. If you have a basement or crawl space just get a flash light and take a look. You should probably call a plumber ASAP. The damage to the floor can be quite expensive to get fixed.

It could be a roof leak rotting out the floor.
