Am I being scammed??????

I was selling an item through a classified site and the person who wants my items wants to pay through paypal. The only problem is I got a notification that on my one e-mail that has no paypal account attached to it I got a notification that he sent me money. Now he has send more then what I have asked and wants me to send it to someone via western union.

This sounds like a scam.

    Yes, it sounds like a scam.

    Do not do it.

    Scammers often use Western Union.

    Don't send the item either.

    The payment will likely come back unpaid.

    Wait for Paypal to tell you the funds have cleared.

    maybe. I don't like buying stuff online or selling coz like you said they might scam. I only sell or buy from sites I know are trust able

    The old re-shipping scam...pays you with dirty money and it comes out clean the other side....kinda like money laundering...........
